Field Notes: AeroWeave LS Jersey

The Stash Vest is built around one idea: if it's too much to carry, it won't get carried. At 56gsm, it packs into its own pocket and disappears until the moment you need it.

The wind vest problem isn't temperature or weather. It's that you leave it at home. Most vests are too much. Too much bulk, too much zipper, too much to think about when you're getting ready at 5am. So it stays at home. And then the weather turns at the 60km mark, and you're riding into a headwind with no protection and a long way home.
The Stash Vest was designed to solve the leaving-it-at-home problem. Not by making it more technical. By making it so small and light that there's no reason not to bring it. At 56gsm, it packs into its own chest pocket and fits in the palm of your hand. That's the whole brief.

Rain Repel is a 56gsm performance fabric made in Italy from a combination of polyamide and polyurethane yarns. It's OEKO-TEX® certified — independently verified to be free from harmful substances, and it's the lightest wind-blocking fabrics we use.
At 56gsm, the front panel blocks wind without trapping heat. The polyurethane component gives it medium-grade water resistance, enough to handle a light shower or wet road spray without soaking through. The polyamide base adds stretch: this fabric moves with your pedal stroke rather than fighting it. It has a high-stretch character that you notice immediately when you pull it on, because it doesn't feel like a shell. It feels like a second skin.
The mesh back panel is where the breathability rating comes from. With no solid fabric behind you, hot air exits freely. The vest stays aerodynamically close to your body. The air keeps moving.
The chest pocket unzips to reveal a cavity large enough to pack the entire vest into. Fold it in, zip it shut, and it fits in a jersey back pocket. That's not a gimmick, it's the design principle the whole garment is built around.
The YKK high-gauge 2-way zipper was chosen specifically for packability. It's lighter and flatter than a standard zip, which matters when the garment needs to compress down to pocket size. But the 2-way function earns its keep on the bike: open from the bottom for core ventilation while keeping the chest sealed against the wind, or unzip from the top for a quick mid-ride removal without stopping. With a race-fit cut, opening from the bottom vents without flapping fabric or creating drag.
The whole system works because of what's been left out. No insulation. No extra panels. No bulk. Rain Repel at 56gsm, a mesh back, a 2-way zip, and a pocket that swallows the whole vest. Every decision points at the same outcome: a vest that's always in your kit bag because it weighs nothing and takes up almost no space.
Both versions are built on the same Rain Repel construction. The cut is tailored for each: the women's version has a more defined waist taper and sits at hip length, while the men's runs slightly longer in the body. Both are Race Fit — close and body-mapped for aerodynamic performance.
The temp range reflects different intended use cases. The men's version is rated from 15°C — a classic shoulder-season layer for warm-weather days that start cold or finish wet. The women's is rated from 0°C, making it a more versatile cool-weather piece that works deeper into the winter calendar.
The Stash Vest is for the rider who plans ahead but hates carrying unnecessary weight. Stuff it in your pocket before every ride. You might not need it. But when the weather turns at kilometre 70, it'll be exactly where you left it.
