We’re well and truly rolling now at ‘The Domestiques’. After the Prologue in Copenhagen, Stage 2 of the Tour de France remained in Denmark from Roskilde to Nybord. A flat 200k for the sprinters. Mike, Lee and Matilda unpack the days racing, as Fabio Jakobsen took the honours, and the hearts, of our crew following his life-threatening crash two years ago. Second on the line was Wout van Aert, who took the yellow jersey for the first time in his career. ‘The Domestiques’ also welcomed Gabriel Gaté to the show. For our International listeners, Gabriel has been a feature on Tour de France broadcasts in Australia for decades. Gabriel teaches us how to say our name ‘The Domestiques’ correctly, and becomes our 3rd host as Lee ‘Hollywood’ Turner stays true to reputation and drops off midway through recording, most likely to continue his Mykonos bender. That, and so much more, on this episode of ‘The Domestiques’.
